西澳酿酒葡萄种植者在艰难的 2024 年季节之后在天黑后收获

随着一年一度的酿酒葡萄收获的进行，夜晚已成为西澳大利亚州部分地区的活动场所。

充满挑战的赛季

Mr Cherubino said there had been times during his 30 years in the industry when even the nights were not cool enough.

"The 2024 season was one out of the bag I've never experienced before and I don't think I ever want to experience it again," he said.

"It was really hard to get into the field and harvest at low temperatures — some nights it didn't get below 25C.

"It was also so rushed, you couldn't keep up with the flow of fruit into the wineries."

The farmer said the vintage season normally ended in April, but last year the fruit was ready faster than usual due to drier conditions and growers were caught off guard.

"I think we started around January 23 and it was all done by early March," Mr Cherubino said.

西澳葡萄酒公司首席执行官拉里·乔根森 （Larry Jorgensen） 表示，1 月份比平均水平温暖，但 2025 年的开局看起来比去年更加乐观。

“我们必须小心，不要让自己感到困惑，但我认为到目前为止，描述这个年份的词是'仁慈的'，”Jorgensen先生说。

“没有那些真正的高热峰值，我们得到了有助于保持自然酸度的范围。”
